In this three-hour virtual session, we’ll articulate your strategic goals, analyze your intended audience, and identify key pillars for your communication strategy. $1,500 plus HST.


  2. Outputs Audit. Wondering why the communication products you’ve crafted with so much care aren’t delivering the results you’d hoped for?

    The first step toward fixing the problem is to accurately diagnose the issues. The Outputs Audit gives you a detailed review of a broad sample of your current communication products, evaluated against your intended audience and strategic purpose. It also includes recommendations to help you analyze your audience in greater depth and fine-tune your core messaging and communication strategy. Starting at $5,000 plus HST.


  3. Fractional Chief Research Communication Officer. You need expert help with your research communication but not a full-time hire. Engage Dr. Dawn Henwood as your part-time Research Communication Officer. You and your team will get hands-on help with communication strategy and content creation for a fixed number of hours a month. Use the hours for strategic planning, content review or creation, coaching, or preparation for high-stakes situations, such as funder meetings.     • Webinars introducing a large group to general principles, such as The Three Pillars Approach to Knowledge Mobilization, Crafting Transformative Narratives, and Communicating for Change Management.


    • Online courses that run for four to six weeks, such as Creative Knowledge Translation, Technical Communication Bootcamp, and Getting Started on Social Media. Courses are designed to suit your needs and may include self-paced content, facilitated teaching sessions, and group coaching sessions.


    • Team coaching combines guided co-creation of strategy and/or communication products with focused training sessions and feedback on work in progress.

  2. Content creation. Clients call on us when they need to produce an especially complex document for an audience that demands excellence. We specialize in documents that are expected to carry a lot of weight, such as impact reports, white papers, eBooks, and training materials. We can collaborate with your in-house graphic designer or take care of the visual design along with the writing.

  3. Strategic consulting. We take on a limited number of strategic consulting projects to enable research communication, organizational change management, and program development. If you need a deep thinker and skilled facilitator to help you navigate a complex, communication-related situation, we can help.
